We now deliver all over the world. Please fill in your address details in the checkout area to see how much delivery to your country is. Times for overseas shipping can vary a lot but we can always give you a pretty good idea of timescale – if you need your order by a certain date, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org and we can advise on how long your goods should take to arrive.
TOP TIP: If you login/register before you start shopping you can look in your shopping bag and see how much a combination of items will cost to send to your country before you go to checkout.
Delivery is charged from as little as 93p per address within the UK ! You can see the delivery rate for each individual collection of items at the end of your shopping basket, so you can add or delete items easily and know what you will be charged before going to checkout. If £0.00 delivery charge is shown in your basket, this is because you have ordered furniture only and will still have a charge to pay – please see the FURNITURE section below for details.
We aim to deliver within seven days of your order, and in the rare event of an item being out of stock we will contact you with an estimated date of arrival.
A signature is required to acknowledge receipt.
If no-one is in to receive goods a card will be left with a phone number to rearrange delivery. Please note that if no re-delivery is organised the package will be returned to us a week later and we will need to recharge you to send it out again… so please don’t order the day before you set off on an expedition to reach the south pole on foot. We are happy to deliver to work addresses or to gift recipients directly, although it may be a good idea to inform them that a parcel with their name on from England at Home is heading their way.
Larger pieces are delivered by courier, we will need to calculate the charge for this and will contact you with a bespoke price. If you are happy with the courier charge we will then take payment for this over the phone. If you decide not to proceed with the transaction we will refund the full amount to you.
Furniture will be ordered in by us when the you order it from us, and can take up to 6 weeks – but we will keep you informed on your particular order. If you feel the timeline quoted when we phone you back is longer than you feel comfortable with, just tell us and we will cancel and refund the order.
We charge delivery at cost, and always sniff around for the best deal. Local delivery can cost as little as £20.
Please make us aware of any factors that may make delivery difficult such as parking restrictions or restricted access. If we are not informed of factors like this and incur extra courier charges as a result we will need to take an additional charge from you to cover this expense.
If we attempt to deliver the furniture and you are not in as agreed we would need to recharge to redeliver.
In general, couriers deliver to your doorstep. If you require help to move the goods inside this will be at the drivers discretion (feigning pregnancy by stuffing a cushion up your jumper, or simply being cheerful and polite are top tips here). Please be aware that any damage caused by a driver helping you is your own responsibility.
It is also your responsibility to ensure that the goods ordered fit inside the delivery address! Please measure entrance ways etc carefully. If goods won’t fit inside when delivered you won’t be refunded the delivery charge and you will be responsible for the safe return of the goods to us. If the goods are scraped or otherwise damaged trying to get them into your address they are non returnable.
Some of our furniture requires a little self assembly but nothing too technical or arduous. The courier is not responsible for helping with this, or removal of any packaging. If you have any questions or concerns about anything to do with the delivery process, please ask us. We really do want to help!
If an item purchased through our website arrives broken or is unsuitable and you would like a refund or replacement, please advise us within 7 days of delivery, and return it within 14 days. Please wrap it securely and include a copy of the invoice. The delivery charge on the original order is non refundable and we do not offer a free post service on returned items. We advise you to send any parcels insured registered delivery and to keep the receipt as we cannot take responsibility for returned goods that are lost or damaged in transit.
